Are you a Nurse? Are you getting burnt out during this pandemic?
Here are some quick tips to help you avoid burnout!
Time Management: It sounds easy enough but when you manage your time; both in personal and work life, it will help you gain a sense of satisfaction, reduce your stress and help with job performance.
Meditation: taking time each day to focus on breathing and relaxation techniques helps with stress and clearing the mind. If you don't know how to meditate, look online for easy-to-follow videos.
Education: Learning a new thing helps keep your brain active and stops mundane daily tasks. This can be anything in the medical field or something as easy as learning how to tie a sailor's knot. It works your brain and keeps you excited about utilizing it.
Self-Care: This is so important and the most neglected tool in our belts. People think that self-care is so hard to achieve or that you don't have time (where that time management comes in handy). But you do have time. Self-care can be as simple as getting that double-whipped Frappuccino on the way to work. Or adding a bath bomb to your bath. Taking time out of your day each day to do something for you could be the difference between getting burned out or keeping strong.
As Nurses (or in the medical field) we take on so much with each patient. Lives lost and lives gained, sickness and health, it's a tough field. Remember to do these steps so you can continue to be the ROCKSTAR Frontline healthcare professional that you are!
